Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the HeroMiners mining pools collect when you use this website or mine with the pool, how it is used, and the choices you have. There is no account here: your wallet address is your only identifier, and we never sell or rent your information.

Last updated: July 22, 2026

01Information we collect

There is no account and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, e-mail address, phone number or any identity document in order to mine. We collect only the technical information needed to run the pool and pay you:

  • Your payout address for the coin you mine, and a second one where a pool merge-mines, exactly as you type them into your miner. We use them only to attribute your work and send your rewards.
  • The IP address your miner or your browser connects from.
  • The mining details your software reports: worker name, hashrate, submitted, accepted and stale shares, difficulty and the region you connect to.
  • Ordinary web request data: browser type and version, operating system, language, the pages you request, the date and time, and the page you came from.
  • Cookies and local browser storage used for site preferences (see the Cookies section below).

If you choose to turn on notifications, we also store the channel you connect (for example your Telegram or Discord id, an ntfy topic, or a web-push subscription) so we can deliver the alerts you asked for. Linking a channel is entirely optional and you can unlink it at any time.

02How we use this information

We use the information above for one purpose only: to run the mining pool and serve you. In practice that means we:

  • attribute your shares and calculate, then automatically send, your rewards;
  • operate, monitor and troubleshoot the website and the pool;
  • detect and prevent abuse, fraud and attacks against the pool;
  • deliver the notifications you turned on;
  • meet obligations that apply to us under the law.

We use your information primarily to provide the service. We never sell, trade or rent it to anyone.

03How your information is shared

We do not sell, trade or rent your information. There are only three ways it leaves the pool, and each is either your choice or unavoidable:

  • Blockchain payouts. To pay you, your payout address and the amount are written to the public blockchain of the coin you mine, and to a second chain as well on a pool that merge-mines. This is how every on-chain payout works and is outside our control.
  • Notifications you turned on. If you link a channel, the alert you chose is delivered through that provider (Telegram, Discord, ntfy or your browser vendor), each under its own privacy policy.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the pool and its users against illegal activity.

04Public statistics and masking

The pool publishes live statistics such as blocks, payments, miners and workers. Wallet addresses and IP addresses shown on these public pages are masked, meaning part of the value is hidden, so a casual visitor cannot read your full address or IP from the site. Your full address is used only where it is genuinely needed, to attribute your work and to pay you.

05Cookies and local storage

The site uses cookies and your browser local storage for technical purposes and to remember your preferences, such as your theme (dark or light), language, table page sizes and the wallet addresses you have searched. Searched addresses are kept on your own device and are not sent to us. We do not use cookies to build an advertising profile of you.

You are free to clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you do, some conveniences, like remembered preferences, may stop working.

06Log files

Our web and mining (stratum) servers keep standard access logs, which can include the connecting IP address, request date and time, requested URL, browser user agent and mining connection details. These logs are used within the pool on a need-to-know basis for security, abuse detection and troubleshooting, and are not shared with third parties except as described in this policy or as required by law.

07Data retention and security

We keep technical logs only for as long as they are needed for the purposes above, and then delete or anonymise them. Information tied to your rewards, such as your payout address and payment history, is kept for as long as it is needed to run the reward system and to meet any accounting or legal obligations that apply to us.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmitting or storing data over the internet is ever completely secure, so while we work to protect your information we cannot guarantee absolute security.

08Your choices and rights

Because the pool holds no account and no identity documents, most of the control stays in your hands. You can stop mining, change your payout address, or unlink any notification channel at any time from the settings page or the bot.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to withdraw a consent you gave. Reach us using the contacts below and we will help.

09Children

This pool is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can remove it.

10Links to other sites

The site links to third-party services such as block explorers, market-data providers and the projects behind the coins we mine. Those sites are not operated by us and have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for how they collect or use information, so please review their policies when you visit them.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any change takes effect as soon as it is posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top is revised. Please check back periodically so you are aware of any updates.

12Contact

If you have any question about this Privacy Policy or about the information we hold, you can reach us through the Discord or Telegram links in the footer of this site.
