Solo mining calculator
Solo means you keep the whole block, and find nothing in between. Pick a coin and your hardware to see how long a block typically takes, what your odds are over a day, a week, a month or a year, and what the wait costs to run.
The Ravencoin network numbers these odds are worked out from are not available right now.
Solo mining FAQ
You mine to the pool as usual, but you do not share rewards. Find a block and the whole reward is yours; find nothing and you earn nothing for that stretch. Same infrastructure, entirely different risk.
On average, the network block time divided by your share of the network. Average is the key word: block finding has no memory, so the wait is random around that figure and can be far shorter or far longer.
Each dot is a chance to find a block over the period, and the filled ones are the expected number. It is a picture of odds, not a schedule.
Compare the expected wait to how long you can go with nothing. If a typical gap between your blocks is measured in months, pool mining pays the same on average with far less variance. Solo makes sense when your hashrate makes the wait short enough to sit through.
