HeroMiners vs F2Pool
HeroMiners and F2Pool compared feature by feature: scale, account model, coin focus and how a Bitcoin-era giant differs from a direct GPU pool.
The comparison at a glance
These two pools serve different worlds: industrial ASIC mining versus direct GPU mining. The table states verifiable structural facts and our own current numbers; read F2Pool's live numbers from its own pages.
| Feature | HeroMiners | F2Pool |
|---|---|---|
| Mines Pearl (PRL) | Yes | No, not on its coin list |
| Founded | Direct GPU pool | 2013, one of the oldest and largest pools |
| Main focus | GPU coins, per-miner transparency | Bitcoin-class ASIC mining at industrial scale |
| Sign-up | None. Your wallet address is the login | Account registration required |
| Custody | Non-custodial, straight to your wallet | Balances and settings live in the account |
| Pearl fee | One flat fee, pool and solo alike, shown live on the pool statistics | Not applicable, Pearl not offered |
| Payout schedule | Automatic, hourly, once the minimum is met | Read their schedule on their site |
| Merged mining | modelOS (MDL) alongside Pearl | Offered on some coin pairs, not Pearl |
| Verification | Every payout checkable by transaction hash | Published stats, account-side balances |
The comparison here is about the model, not the coin: F2Pool does not mine Pearl.
Which one fits your hardware
If you mine Bitcoin on ASICs, F2Pool plays in that league and its scale is the point. If you mine Pearl on GPUs, it is not an option at all, and this pool is one of the few that mine Pearl. The choice is decided by your hardware and coin before any fee comparison starts.
Compare them fairly
Comparisons only mean something on a coin both pools mine. Where they overlap with any pool you use, read the current fees and payout rules from the pools' own pages on the same day, and verify recent payouts on-chain.
