An airdrop is a distribution of free tokens to wallet addresses, used to bootstrap a community, reward early users or market a new project.
Treat unexpected airdropped tokens with caution: interacting with an unknown token's contract or "claim site" is a common scam pattern. Real airdrops never need your private key.
