Algorithm
The specific proof-of-work function a coin is mined with.
A mining algorithm is the exact computation a coin requires to produce a block. Different coins use different algorithms, which is why hardware that mines one coin may be useless for another.
Pearl uses an algorithm called pearlhash, built on Proof of Useful Work: instead of a throwaway hash it performs real matrix computation proven with a zero-knowledge proof.
