Bid-Ask Spread
The gap between the best buy and sell prices.
The bid-ask spread is the gap between the highest price buyers offer (bid) and the lowest price sellers ask. Crossing it is the immediate cost of any market order.
On big pairs the spread is a rounding error; on a small coin's thin market it can be percent-sized. It is one more reason the selling guide recommends limit orders on thin pairs.
