Confirmation
A later block that makes a transaction harder to reverse.
A confirmation is a block added on top of the one that contains your transaction. The more confirmations, the more work would be needed to undo it, so the safer it is.
A freshly mined block must mature (gain enough confirmations) before its reward is spendable, which is why pool rewards show as pending before they become payable.
