CPU
A general-purpose processor, rarely efficient for mining.
A CPU (central processing unit) is the flexible general-purpose chip in every computer. A few algorithms are designed to stay CPU-friendly, but for most coins a CPU is far too slow to mine profitably.
Pearl is a GPU coin; its algorithm needs the parallel maths and tensor cores of a graphics card, so the CPU is left out of the mining work.
