Cross-Chain Bridge
A system moving value between blockchains.
A cross-chain bridge moves value between blockchains, typically by locking coins on one chain and issuing a wrapped representation on another.
Bridges are powerful and historically the site of crypto's largest hacks: a bridge holds everything locked in it. Moving mined coins between chains through an exchange is often the simpler, better-understood path.
