Digital Signature
Cryptographic proof that the key owner authorized a message.
A digital signature is cryptographic proof, made with a private key and checkable by anyone with the public key, that the key's owner authorized a specific message. Every crypto transaction is authorized this way.
It is why coins cannot be spent without the private key, and why a pool payout to your address is spendable by you alone.
