Ethereum Classic (ETC) is the continuation of Ethereum's original proof-of-work chain after Ethereum itself moved to proof of stake. It uses the EtcHash algorithm and is GPU-mined.
It became one of the largest homes for GPU miners after Ethereum stopped being mineable.
