Litecoin (LTC) is one of the oldest altcoins, a Bitcoin fork that uses the Scrypt algorithm and faster block times. It is frequently merge-mined with Dogecoin, which shares Scrypt.
Like Bitcoin, Litecoin is now ASIC-mined rather than GPU-mined.
