Masternode
A collateral-backed server earning a share of block rewards.
A masternode is a special network node that locks a large collateral of the coin and provides services (instant sends, privacy mixing, governance votes) in exchange for a share of each block reward.
On coins with masternodes, the block reward is split between miners and masternode operators, which is worth knowing when comparing what mining such a coin pays.
