Mempool
The waiting room of unconfirmed transactions.
The mempool (memory pool) is the set of transactions that have been broadcast but not yet included in a block. Miners pick transactions from it to build the next block.
Transactions that pay higher fees are usually picked first, which is why a busy mempool can mean higher fees to get confirmed quickly.
