Node
A computer running a blockchain's software.
A node is a computer that runs a coin's software, keeps a copy of the blockchain, and relays transactions and blocks across the network. Nodes are what make a blockchain decentralized.
A pool runs full nodes so it can build valid work for miners and submit found blocks to the network on their behalf.
