A network where participants connect directly.
Peer-to-peer means computers connect and share directly with each other rather than through a central server. Blockchains are P2P networks: nodes relay transactions and blocks among themselves.
This is what removes the need for a central authority and makes a cryptocurrency censorship-resistant.
