Proxy Pool
Software that fronts many miners as one connection.
A mining proxy sits between a farm of miners and the pool, presenting many rigs to the pool through a single connection. It cuts network overhead and gives a large farm one place to change settings.
A proxy is not a pool: it forwards work rather than paying anyone. Because the pool sees one connection, per-worker statistics depend on the proxy passing worker names through correctly.
