Public Key
The shareable counterpart to your private key.
A public key is derived from your private key and can be shared safely. Your address is derived from it, and it is used to verify the signatures your private key produces.
The maths only works one way: you can compute a public key from a private one, but not the reverse, which is why sharing a public key or address is safe.
