Stablecoin
A coin designed to hold a steady value.
A stablecoin aims to keep a steady value, usually pegged to a currency like the US dollar, so it avoids the volatility of most cryptocurrencies. It is often used to move value or park funds.
Stablecoins are generally not mined; they are issued against reserves or by a protocol. Mining produces the volatile coins you can then convert if you wish.
