Unconfirmed Transaction
A broadcast transaction not yet in any block.
An unconfirmed transaction has been broadcast to the network and is sitting in the mempool waiting for a miner to include it. It is real but reversible, because nothing has committed it to the chain.
A transaction with a fee too low for current demand can stay unconfirmed for a long time. Once a block includes it, it has one confirmation, and each later block makes it harder to undo.
