Uptime and Downtime
The share of time a rig is actually mining.
Uptime is the proportion of time hardware is online and submitting work; downtime is everything else, including crashes, reboots, network drops and the minutes after a failure before anyone notices.
Downtime is invisible in a hashrate reading taken while the rig is up, which is why it is usually underestimated. A watchdog that restarts a stalled miner and an offline alert are what turn it into a small number.
