Whitelist
A pre-approved list: addresses, IPs or programs allowed through.
A whitelist is a list of pre-approved things allowed through a control: withdrawal addresses an exchange will send to, IPs allowed to reach a server, programs an antivirus will not block.
Miners meet whitelists twice: excluding the miner folder in antivirus software, and locking exchange withdrawals to their own wallet address so a stolen login alone cannot redirect funds.
