Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP)
Proving something is true without revealing the work.
A zero-knowledge proof lets one party prove a statement is true without revealing the underlying data or redoing the work. Crucially, checking the proof is far cheaper than producing it.
Pearl uses zero-knowledge proofs (via a system called Plonky2) so the pool can cheaply re-verify that every share's heavy computation was done correctly.
